I personally recommend *Shuttle Direct* for airport transfers, as they provide reliable and affordable services. Depending on the location of your accommodation, the transfer can take anywhere from 30 to 40 minutes.
- By Bus
If you’re traveling on a budget, the bus is a great option. The bus stop is located just outside the arrivals terminal at Faro Airport. You’ll need to cross the road, and the bus stop will be clearly visible. From Faro, the bus ride to Tavira takes around 45 minutes, and tickets are reasonably priced.
- By Train
Taking the train from Faro to Tavira is another cost-effective and scenic option. First, you’ll need to get to Faro Train Station. You can either take an Uber (around €6) or catch a bus from the stop outside the airport terminal. Once at Faro Train Station, it’s a quick 35-minute ride to Tavira. A great place to stop for dinner and few drinks. It’s hidden in one of the narrow streets of Tavira and I found it by exploring the area. Food is delicious, they have a wide range of cocktails, soft drinks and service is great.
